HanaPa’a Hawaii, Inc. is a fishing and diving supply store with its main shop located in Honolulu.

The first question most people ask is, "What does Hana Pa'a Mean?"

Well, Hana Pa'a is a Hawaiian word which literally means "to make secure or fasten." However, it is frequently used as a slang to mean "hook up" or "fish on". Thus, throughout Hawaii, whenever a fisherman has a strike, he yells, "HANA PA'A!!!"

Similarly, whenever a local fisherman needs any type of fishing supplies, he thinks, "HANA PA'A"
